There is a popular opinion that women are becoming more and more career-oriented. This comes with the cost of having fewer children or even being childless. However, recent studies show that at least rich women in the US have increased their fertility significantly. Which factors helped to increase rich women’s fertility? Are these tendencies connected with the increase in inequality? What are the consequences of this newly emerging pattern? Is the market pronatalist?
The lecture will be held in English, simultaneous translation into Russian will be also available.
