Dear Female students, alumni and friends,

a growing body of research highlights the existence of gender inequality in the career development. NES is committed to supporting the careers of current and former female students of our school. Since last year, we are providing female-specific support to our students who are thinking to pursue an academic career. This assistance includes informal lunches with our female professors and the allocation of a dedicated mentor among our recent former students who are currently doing a PhD — thank you very much to those of you who have agreed to help us this way!

We are happy to announce the start of a series of informal evening events for those (current and former) students who want to pursue a career in the private sector. In these evenings, we will invite prominent female economists who have succeed in pursuing a successful career in Russia. The speakers will share their experience of being a female economist, in a relaxed environment. The talk will be followed by pizza.

We cordially invite you to our first female evening event that will take place on February 3rd at 7pm in Skolkovo campus (room 1.14).

We are thrilled to start the program with a talk by Natalia Puzyrnikova.  Natalia is currently the first Vice President and Head of the Risk Management Service at Gazprombank. She graduated from our Master of Finance program in 2009 and has a bachelor degree in Physics from Moscow State University. In the past, she headed the Software Product Testing Department of CJSC Init-Energo, the Bank Card Department of CJSC Quorum JSC. Since 2007, she worked at Unicredit Securities as a sales manager for derivatives and structured products. In 2009, Natalia was a chief economist at Sberbank, where eventually she became a senior Managing Director at Sberbank CIB. Before moving to Gazprombank, Natalia was a Managing Director for Investment Risks at Otkritie FC Bank.
